It used to be impossible for me to even imagine standing in front of audience and delivering a speech in which I express myself. However, 3 years ago, it was a changing point when I was welcomed into Bishmizzine High School. So, here I am today sharing my experience with confidence and pride.

Greetings esteemed guests and parents, dearest principal and teachers and fellow graduates, this school never settles and always strives to reach the better of better: the accreditation and the new building are a few examples. A place where quality education is complemented by good values and morals. The much love and appreciation I've been given here made me see my values as treasure rather than treason at a time when decency is sadly “out-dated”.

Each one of us graduates was a seed that has been planted in the rich soil of these classrooms, has been watered by the waterfall of knowledge and wisdom provided by our exceptional teachers, and has been warmed by our source of sunlight, our principal, Mrs. Layla Chahine, who is the example of selflessness and never fails prioritize our intellectual and mental needs. Finally, we have been given the oxygen of life by our inspiring parents. Now, we have bloomed into bright flowers with strong roots that will be plucked from BHS and introduced into the foreign soil of society in which we will standout and stand tall.

My friends, do not fear the thunderstorms ahead, for we need balance to grow. We are blessed to have had each other throughout this journey, filling it with laughter and excitement. Although we will be separated by our different paths, we are always united by these memories. I'm sure we will continue cheering for each other’s many and many successes!

My teachers, thank you for your passion, care and patience. You left an irreplaceable mark that leads us to our true potentials. I am grateful to be your student and be taught under your fruitful hands.

To Mrs. Layla Chahine, I am honored to witness how you ignite in us the desire to excel.

My parents, “thank you” is a mistranslation of the gratitude my soul feels for breaking your bones to fill any cracks in mine. I promise to make you so proud that every drop of sweat from your hard work will be 10 tears of joy. My mother, just as I reflect your beautiful face, I hope to always reflect your beautiful heart.

I frame these years in gold in my memory. It's time to spread our well-built characters into this world and God be our guide.
